Turn 11 is another blind turn. In fact, you can’t see any of the turn until well after you turn in. You will be going fairly fast at this point, so you must develop reference points unless you enjoy driving off the track at speed. Some people turn in when the roof of the T11 flag station pops back into view. Others use the "motorcycle dot" that is painted on the road (unless the paint is worn off or the track is resurfaced…). Others use a self-determined time after driving over the bumps on the left side of the track. Still others use the three pointer cones off the left side of the track (first, make certain they are there!). In any case, while this is a fast turn, build up to it with caution! |
